5 new Ring recordings
Five complete Ring cycles have been added to the website. In chronological order they are:

Solti London 1965
Though these are broadcast recordings the the sound quality is varying from acceptable to ok. The strong cast Solti has assembled makes even that worthwile. This is one of the few chances to hear Ernst Kozub as Siegmund and you will understand why Solti wanted him for his studio Tristan. Brünnhilde is not as expected Brigit Nilsson but Amy Shuard captured here in her prime. Hotter sings the Wanderer and Siegmund is the resilient Wolfgang Windgassen. Amazingly this Ring recording has never been released commercially.

Stein Wien 1976
This is an in-house recording therefore the voices are a little bit distant. Birgit Nilsson (Brünnhilde) and Hans Beirer (Siegmund/Götterdämmerung Siegfried) are at the end, Peter Hofmann (Loge) at the beginning of their careers. Wotan is Theo Adam and the first Siegfried is sung by Jean Cox.

Cambreling Frankfurt october 1994
Another in-house recording. The cast is good but not extraordinary. Wotan is sung by three different singers (Alan Held/Monte Pedersen/John Broecheler), Siegfried is William Cochran and the lovers in the Walküre are John Patrick Raftery and Helena Doese.

Mehta Chicago 1993-1996
Broadcast from the Chicago Lyric opera house with Eva Marton (Brünnhilde), Siegfried Jerusalem (Siegmund/Siegfried), James Morris (Wotan/Wanderer), Tina Kiberg (Sieglinde) and Matti Salminen (Hagen).

Inkinen Melbourne 2016
Broadcast from the Arts Center in Melbourne. All four parts of the Ring are conducted by the young finnish maestro Pietari Inkinen. The cast is solid led by Lise Lindstrom (Brünnhilde), Stefan Vinke (Siegfried) and James Johnson (Wotan).
