The Bayreuth festival 2016 just started with a new production of Parsifal staged by the German actor and director Uwe Eric Laufenberg. The premiere and the following Parsifal performances are conducted by Hartmut Haenchen. Klaus Florian Vogt sings Parsifal, Georg Zeppenfeld Gurnemanz, Ryan McKinny Amfortas, Gerd Grochowski Klingsor and Elena Pankratova is Kundry. The premiere was transmitted live by the Bavarian Rundfunk.
